Exciting projects? New challenges every day? comdirect offers it all. This is where we differ from conventional branch banks as an employer. For example, we don’t have any jobs behind bank counters. But then you don’t need these for good customer service and personal advice. Every day, more than 1,100 employees are working at comdirect to make financial and securities transactions easier and more convenient. Or to develop the trading functions and advisory processes of tomorrow. We know: the best solutions demand extensive experience and indepth expertise – which is why we continually invest in staff training. At the same time, we are on the lookout for new members who would like to join our team. And at comdirect we have our own training programmes. Investing in the employees of tomorrow

comdirect has been training bankers for several years now. In summer we will also launch a training course for IT specialists in system integration. We offer a dual study programme in business information technology in conjunction with Nordakademie Elmshorn University. University graduates can enter the world of banking through our 12-month trainee programme. In addition, we are stepping up our contact with other universities and universities of applied science. Partners include the University of Hamburg and Münster University of Applied Sciences – excellent establishments in order to attract the attention of the specialists and executives of tomorrow. To attract candidates, we are currently further developing our communication formats in Web 2.0.

What do we expect from our employees? Naturally a keen willingness to learn. Commitment. The ability to work in a team. A passion for working with people. A strong desire to quickly take on responsibility – from day one. And more importantly: if you work with us, you have to be able to look beyond your own horizons.

What can our employees expect from comdirect? A great deal. We support their training and continued professional development – for example through our comahead in-house training programme. As part of our comdirect academy lecture series, outside experts regularly give talks on relevant issues in the industry. We also carry out targeted further training measures for our specialist and executive staff and offer excellent opportunities for combining work and family life, for instance through part-time working models and flexible working hours. And with our comfit health initiative, we enable our employees to participate in a wide range of fitness and nutrition courses.

What’s more: it’s not just us who say that comdirect is an attractive employer – many of our employees do too. Last year, almost every third new member of staff came to us based on an employee recommendation.
